Module two finally explained why our VAT reclaim detector fired every Friday. We still keep a manual check for foreign currency journals—the course was clear that automation is not always the answer.
Ledger Signal Studio
A six-week cohort that turns a ledger anomaly detection app from a noisy dashboard into a managed weekly practice. Informational fee: £1,180 per person (see Pricing).

- Write threshold rationales that survive a peer or audit challenge
- Triage exceptions by exposure and recurrence, not arrival time
- Close cases with short dispositions another reviewer can follow
- Retire or rewrite at least one chronically noisy detector
- Draft a one-page close playbook for your own team calendar
Modules
- 1 · Name the behaviour Translate a business risk into a detectable ledger pattern before opening the rule editor.
- 2 · Threshold craft Seasonality, volume floors, and why percentage-only bands fail on sparse accounts.
- 3 · Queue hygiene Assignment rules, batch reviews, and SLA language that does not invent false urgency.
- 4 · Dispositions that travel Templates for closed-as-expected, escalated, and deferred-with-reason.

FAQ
Do I need a specific vendor?
No. Labs use a neutral interface. Concepts transfer to most ledger anomaly detection apps, though button labels will differ.
What is a real limitation of this course?
We do not teach machine-learning model training or vendor administration beyond what a power user needs. If your bottleneck is data engineering or licence architecture, this cohort will not fix it.
How much time each week?
Plan for about four hours: one live session plus lab work. Close weeks are heavier; recordings stay available for fourteen days.

★★★★☆
Solid on triage. The peer review round was uncomfortable in a useful way. Evening timing was awkward for West Country staff.
